Topics: Habit

A habit is an automatic behaviour that we carry out consistently given a certain cue. Habits can be reinforced by rewards, whether external or inherent to the habit itself.

Cue → Behaviour → Reward

When building (or getting rid of) a habit, it’s often more useful to focus on the cue, not the behaviour. It’s also useful to start small, getting used to the habit first, then building off of that.
