Two subgraphs $g_1$ and $g_2$ of a graph $G$ are said to be vertex-disjoint subgraphs (or vertex-separate subgraphs) if they don’t share any vertices.

Every two vertex-disjoint subgraphs are also edge-disjoint subgraphs.
